About Arda

I'm a psychology student with experience in tutoring and education. What truly sets me apart is my own learning experience: I received German tutoring for almost ten years. During this time, I witnessed the power of individualized instruction and the importance of having someone who takes the time to explain things clearly. This also gives me firsthand insight into the weaknesses and challenges of the German school system. I know how quickly students can fall behind when their individual difficulties aren't adequately addressed in their daily school life. In addition to my tutoring experience, I've also helped my younger sister with her German. My psychology studies and educational background allow me to better understand different learning styles and tailor my approach to each student's individual needs. Above all, I want to be a tutor where students feel comfortable, are taken seriously, and can learn without pressure. I firmly believe that trust and mutual respect are the foundation for successful learning.

About the lesson

My German lessons are aimed at students in grades 5 through 10 and are individually tailored to their needs, difficulties, and learning goals. At the beginning of each lesson, we discuss together which topics are still causing problems. We then work with clear explanations, practical exercises, and examples from everyday school life. My goal is not only to help students pass the next test, but also to build long-term confidence in German. It is particularly important to me that students truly understand the material, rather than simply memorizing answers. Questions and mistakes are expressly welcome. The first lesson is free and serves as an opportunity for us to get to know each other. Together with parents and students, we discuss expectations, learning goals, and my teaching methods.
