About Jennifer

Baking and cooking have been a lifelong passion of mine. Growing up in a traditional German family, I was surrounded by homemade meals and classic recipes. From an early age, I helped prepare family favorites like Knödel (dumplings), Schweinebraten (roast pork), halbes Hendl (roast chicken), and Rouladen (stuffed beef rolls). Baking, too, has always been close to my heart—whether it’s creating the perfect Brezen (pretzel) or mastering sourdough bread, my love for traditional food has shaped my life. In addition to my family traditions, I’ve worked in various cafés, gaining professional cooking experience and refining my skills. I also have over 7 years of teaching experience in different subjects, which helps me create engaging, easy-to-follow lessons for students of all levels.

About the lesson

In my classes, you’ll learn the art of baking and cooking with authentic German recipes. We’ll work together to create delicious, homemade food that you can enjoy with family and friends. Some of the recipes we’ll cover include: German sourdough bread, with tips for achieving a perfect crust Hearty rye bread, a staple in German households Bavarian-style pretzels, with the perfect golden-brown crust and soft interior Traditional German Kuchen (cakes), from Apfelkuchen to Bienenstich If you’re more interested in cooking, we can also dive into classic German meals: Knödel (dumplings) Schweinebraten (roast pork) Rouladen (stuffed beef rolls) Halbes Hendl (roast chicken) What You Can Expect: Step-by-step guidance, with recipes suited to your skill level Practical tips for achieving authentic German flavors and techniques Flexible lessons focused on your goals and interests Insight into the cultural and historical significance of German dishes

Amazing teacher! Jennifer has a lot of knowledge, is an amazing piano player and teacher is well. My three kids (6, 9, 12) have been learning with her for the past year and have learned a lot in this time. They even do the homework she gives them! ;) Can absolutely recommend!

Amazing lessons! I've never been able to master a good sourdough bread and lost my starter every time :(.
Jennifer took care of that and showed me a few tricks to get it to last longer without having to bake every week.

Her cake is amazing, definitely recommend for people who love good food!

I'm excited to get to know you! I'm happy to be able to offer short-term courses for just the basics as well as regular courses. Weekend courses for multiple participants are possible. Please be aware that I won't be able to offer a free lesson at your home, but I'm happy to offer a 30-minute online talk to get to know each other.
