I’m a college STEM student with a strong background in chemistry and chemical engineering. I enjoy breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps and helping students build confidence in challenging subjects. Having navigated demanding coursework myself, I understand where students struggle and how to explain concepts in a way that actually makes sense. Teaching Method
My goal is to help students understand the why behind problems, not just memorize steps. I know that students learn differently, so I am happy to change my teaching style to fit.
Typical Lesson
I will typically start by giving a few practice problems to see where the student struggles, and then ask if they have any specific questions so the student gets the most out of the lesson. I will then review key concepts with examples like a guided practice session. Sessions end with a summary and tips for independent study.
What Sets Me Apart
As a STEM student, I understand challenging coursework and exam expectations and have learned what it takes to succeed in these classes. I’m patient, clear, and focused on consolidating resources to give the student everything they need.
