About Daniel
I recieved a triple minor degree in Physics, Applied Geomatics and Geography from the University of Guelph in 2022. I know both QGIS and ArcGIS.
I've used GIS software for Energy, Hydrology, Infrastructure and Research applications, so I have a range of projects to assign based on my student's interest.
I've published two research papers, one of them is on using GIS to predict a flooding event in Nova Scotia.
I am very passionate about how versatile the world of GIS can be and how useful of a skill it can be for people, I do belive that knowing a bit GIS software will be huge on any resume now and into the future.

My methodology is to let my students to develop their own intuitive way of approaching GIS, while I guide them through tools and workflows.
A typical 1 hour lesson involves 20-30 mins of theory work, then 30 minutes of hands on experience through projects that I've created that are related to my student's field of interest.
What sets me apart is that I tailor every session differently depending on my student and how they want to apply GIS to their daily life.
These lessons are for high school and undergraduate students learning GIS, industry professionals looking to learn a new skill and anyone who is curious about GIS!
