About Zaynab

# About me

Hi! I'm currently studying Geography at the University of Birmingham and have a genuine passion for helping students achieve their academic goals. Before university, I studied Geography, Physics, and Chemistry at A-level, giving me a strong foundation in both the sciences and analytical thinking.

I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence. Having previously tutored GCSE students and taught climate change workshops in secondary schools through the charity Climate Ed, I've developed the skills to explain challenging concepts in a clear and engaging way.

Outside of my studies, I enjoy reading and have a keen interest in fashion. I believe that learning should be enjoyable as well as rewarding, and I strive to make my lessons engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student's individual needs.

# About my lessons

I offer engaging and supportive GCSE tuition in Maths, English, and Science, with every lesson tailored to each student's individual learning style, strengths, and goals. My teaching approach focuses on building confidence as well as subject knowledge by breaking complex topics into manageable steps, using clear explanations, worked examples, and plenty of exam-style practice. I create a friendly and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills at their own pace.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and include a review of previous content, focused teaching on new topics, and practice questions to reinforce understanding and improve exam technique. I also provide revision strategies and tips to help students maximise their GCSE performance.

I have previous experience tutoring GCSE students and have delivered classroom workshops in secondary schools through the charity Climate Ed, where I taught students about climate change and sustainability. This experience has strengthened my communication skills and ability to engage students with different learning needs and abilities.

My lessons are suitable for GCSE students of all abilities, whether they need extra support, want to boost their confidence, or are aiming for top grades. I also welcome younger secondary school students who want to build a strong foundation before beginning their GCSE courses.
