About Gabriel Brasil
I am a Geography teacher in basic education, and have worked as a visiting scholar in higher education. I also teach Portuguese or English as a second language to interested students. I have taught in both in public schools in Campinas/SP, and in private schools in Rio de Janeiro/RJ. I have a master's degree in Geography from Unicamp, and a PhD in Education from UFRJ.

My teaching method is constructivist and progressive. This means that: a) I propose to assemble alongside the students the necessary tools to interpret and move about in an increasingly complex world; b) recognizing that the individual is responsible for the construction of their own knowledge, placing them in protagonists of the learning process; c) what we learn together needs to make sense and have a role in your life, including but not limited to entrance exams to higher education and job applications. I am familiar with geographic content related to ENEM and the new BNCC, basing my classes on the most recent official curriculum documents, as well as reference textbooks that I have accumulated over 10 years of experience in renowned public universities. I approach the subject frequently from what is brought by the students as a necessity and urgent, in continuous dialogue with current events.
