About Colin
Much of modern day psychotherapy is about teaching psychology. Perception being an example. How do we see the world around us? How do we manage to spot a face in a crowd? Why is the testimony of eye witnesses so unreliable? Psychology is about behaviour; human and animal. What causes us to make the decisions we make; to believe what we believe?
How do our cognitive abilities interact with our emotional needs? To what extent are we the product of our genes? Is aggression innate or is it learned?
The above is just a small part of the subject matter of psychology. It is a science like any other science; continually moving forward.
