About Aerik
I am a student of Fleming College in Lindsay, Ontario studying environmental science and have also completed a General Arts & Sciences program in Peterborough, as well as a Marketing program at Algonquin College in Ottawa. In each of these very different academic fields, writing has been my greatest strength; essays, business proposals, and research reports all require different styles of writing, but each is rooted in a firm grasp of the nuances of the English language first and foremost. Much of these skills I learned young from my father, a published author, and were refined in college as I studied each discipline. In my free time, I enjoy reading about philosophy, history, and the environment, playing video games, regaling my friends and family with song, and building fantasy worlds with my partner.

My approach to reading and writing in English involves becoming intimately familiar with the language, turning your greatest challenges into strengths by gradually building up the skills necessary to read and write at even the highest levels. A typical lesson plan begins with a diagnostic to measure your current strengths and weaknesses, followed by a weekly check-in, during which I assign exercises for you to complete and assist you by answering any questions you may have or reinforcing areas of improvement. Whether your goal is to learn how to write at a university level or just to get through a text for high school English, you are welcome here.
