About Harminda

My purpose in life is to make a positive difference to others. I am very fascinated by science, especially Biology. The mechanism of life and survival is extraordinary. I further have travelled to around 22 countries, this allowed me to appreciate the importance of education and its impact for future generations. I am also very empathetic and understand of the pressures teenagers face in the classroom.

With regards to my experience; I am a fully qualified science teacher with a Human Biology and PGCE degree in Science. I have over five years’ of experience in teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics to KS3 and KS4 Students of all levels of ability and aptitude. I have a passion for motivating and inspiring students with a smile on my face. My aim as a tutor, is to allow students to achieve their full potential; a crucial skill to passing any exam. I will further provide high-quality resources which are differentiated, accessible and linked to the GCSE specification.

As a conscientious and reflective tutor, I make sure my lessons are stimulating, challenging and dynamic. I understand the pressures of being in a classroom and the expectations faced at school. My lessons include a pinch of humour and real-life examples, to which students can relate to.

About the lesson

In total, I have offered tutoring to ten students. These students performed above their target grade and positive feedback was relayed. All my lessons are planned from scratch and are in line with the specifications. My lessons include exam-style questions and mark schemes to tackle common misconceptions. I further include homework if the student requires it.
