About Imaan
I’m currently an undergraduate student studying Economics and Finance, a degree which involves a high level of mathematical thinking and problem solving.
I achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE Maths and have continued to develop my mathematical skills through my studies. Having been in your position only a few years ago, I understand how challenging maths can feel at times, especially when preparing for exams.
This is why I focus on explaining topics in a clear, simple way that actually makes sense, rather than just memorising methods. I aim to help students build confidence, improve their understanding, and feel more comfortable approaching exam questions.
I am patient, supportive, and committed to helping each student make real progress. Whether you are aiming to pass or push for higher grades, I will tailor lessons to suit your needs and help you achieve your goals.

I offer GCSE Maths tutoring for students from Year 7 to Year 11, focusing on building both confidence and strong exam technique.
My lessons are typically 1 hour long and are structured to ensure students fully understand each topic before moving on. I start by explaining key concepts in a clear and simple way, breaking down difficult ideas step-by-step. We then go through exam-style questions together, where I guide students through the reasoning behind each step.
Once the student is more confident, they will attempt similar questions themselves while I support them and correct any mistakes. This helps reinforce understanding and ensures they can apply the method independently.
I also set homework after each lesson to consolidate learning. All homework is marked before the next session, and we go through any mistakes to ensure continuous improvement.
I have experience tutoring students, including helping a GCSE student improve enough to move up a set in maths. I have also supported other students on a one-to-one basis, helping them strengthen their understanding of key topics.
My goal is to make maths feel simple, manageable and less stressful, while helping students improve their grades and confidence over time.
