About Talha
Hey there! I'm a recent A-Level graduate from South-West London, specialising in tutoring the arts and humanities. I currently attend the Australian National University studying History, Economics and Law.
My speciality is source and essay questions, especially for History, English and Media Studies. Years of experience have taught me that examiners primarily search for concise delivery of arguments and precise evidence selection. These are the main skills I teach as it is usually where most marks are lost.
A Level:
History: A (AQA Tsarist Russia and Modern Britain)
Media Studies: A* (OCR)
Photography: A* (OCR)
GCSE: 9/9/8/8/8/8/7/7/6 (8s and 9s in English, History, Media, Film under AQA, Edexcel and Eduqas)

- My lessons tend to focus more on exam technique and guided discussions about essay structure. All exam boards are accommodated for (Edexcel, AQA, Eduqas, OCR, etc.)
- Lessons typically last 60 minutes. They feature mini timed exercises and immediate feedback on source/essay questions
- As a high achiever in A Level History, I know the humanities are content heavy. I aid students in organising their notes and advising what topics should be prioritised
- I am a current History, Economics and Law student at a global top 30 university. I currently hold a distinction (first class) average grade
- My lessons are designed for GCSE and A-Level students across humanities subjects, while also supporting younger students (11+) who want to build strong foundations in critical thinking, writing, and analytical skills in preparation for 13+ and GCSE study.
