I had the pleasure of being tutored in A-level English by Catherine. She is a fountain of knowledge with experience for students at any level. Her teaching methods really help you think about what you are doing and learning.

With Catherine, it is not just a case of writing stuff down. She does a deep dive into what and why, helping you leave sessions understanding why you came to your answers and how to get to those independently the next time. She is genuinely proud of her students and will go above and beyond to make sure every student is pushing themselves to their maximum potential.

I was able to achieve a B at A-level after worrying I had taken the wrong course and wouldn’t pass. With her support and level of teaching, I was able to understand the material I was reading and writing, whilst enjoying what I was learning. I felt confident enough to leave sessions afterwards knowing I could do this alone. I cannot recommend her enough.

Catherine helped me hugely with my national 5 and higher english SQA exams, which led to me gaining almost full marks on both my written essays and my set texts.

She was super attentive to detail and picked up on many small things that I would never have recognised to help me reach the highest grade I could.
