About Rudy

Hi, I'm Rudy — a second-year Modern Languages student, currently studying Spanish alongside Portuguese at university.

Spanish has become a genuine passion of mine, not just an exam subject — my studies cover the language, culture, and history of Spain and Latin America, which means I can bring real context and enthusiasm to lessons, not just grammar rules from a textbook.

I know how daunting a new language (or a looming GCSE exam) can feel, and my goal is to make lessons approachable, encouraging, and genuinely useful, with emphasis on understanding what works for the student. School doesn't bring out the best in everyone and there is no one-size-fits-all for learning, so I strive to understand what helps the student excel, and what doesn't benefit them as well.

I'm reliable, well-prepared for every session, and take the time to understand what each student actually needs. I'm currently expanding my tutoring experience and am fully committed to helping my students see real progress.

About the lesson

I'm a second-year Modern Languages student studying Spanish (with beginners Portuguese) at university, and I'm passionate about helping others build confidence in the language.

My lessons are aimed at a range of students looking to improve their grades, and adult beginners who want a friendly, low-pressure introduction to Spanish. I focus on practical, conversational Spanish alongside the grammar and vocabulary you need for exams — I tailor each session to what you're struggling with, whether that's speaking confidence, listening comprehension, or exam technique. The lessons also have an element of exploring what suits the student best, because not every student learns the same.

Because I've recently gone through GCSE and A-Level myself, I understand exactly what examiners are looking for and where students typically lose marks — I can explain things the way a fellow student would, not just a textbook.

Lessons typically run 45-90 minutes and are conducted online, with a mix of conversation practice, structured exercises, and past-paper style questions for the students. I'm patient, adapt my pace to you, and want lessons to feel supportive rather than stressful.

I'm currently building my tutoring experience, so I bring genuine enthusiasm, strong subject knowledge, and full commitment to helping you improve.
