About Grace
Hi! I am Grace, a 16 year old with 9 A*s and 1 A at GCSE. I have always been described as friendly, welcoming, supportive and hard working. I am a passionate ballet dancer and am now studying at a vocational school to pursue this career. I love animals and nature! I have been helping my brother from primary school in his academics to improve. I am choosing to self study in A level Maths and Biology and have a passion for learning in every subject.

When first meeting the student I will send over an introductory pack of questions for the level they are currently working at (SATs,KS3, foundation GCSE) for them to complete and send back so I can assess their strengths and areas to work on. I then will start my sessionsby asking if there is anything from their school lessons that they would like to cover and go over, if so then we will spend the session working on that topic. If not then I will spend the session going through a topic that I have found they are weaker in.
The structure of my lessons no matter the topic will look like this:
1.Starting with warmup questions that include some questions that we have gone over in the previous session and questions in topics that are there strengths
2. Going through these questions together with the student and marking them. Then going through any homework sheets I have sent them.
3. Start with a warmup question on the specific topic that we are focusing on today and marking it with the student
4. I will then go through a range of examples, practice question that increase in difficulty, marking these with the student and offering help when needed. Then depending on each student and the confidence in the topic, I will go through questions that have been worked through by someone else and ask them to mark the question and talk me through if the answer to the question is right or wrong and where the mistakes are.
5. Then after our session has ended, I will send out some sheets for them to complete and send back for our next lesson.
