About Beatrice
Hi! I’m a current MSc/MA student at the University of Birmingham, a Russell Group and red brick university. In my A levels, I achieved French: A (AQA), Chemistry: A, and Biology: A as a Harrison scholarship student at Merchant Taylors' Girls' School. I have extensive experience presenting educational assemblies as a higher education and STEM ambassador, delivering engaging sessions in schools to encourage students from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue higher education. As an educational facilitator at Farmer Ted's Adventure Farm, I also delivered engaging educational presentations to audiences of all ages, ensuring visitors had an enjoyable and safe experience on the farm. Finally, as school rowing captain, I assisted in coaching rowing at my school, which furthered my development of engaging teaching methods and contributed to my Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.

My lessons are structured to build confidence in key skills such as grammar, vocab recall, translation and speaking. I use clear explanations, personalised practice activities and regular progress checks. Sessions are fully tailored to the student’s needs, focusing on strengthening weaker areas and preparing effectively for GCSE exam formats. I aim to give the student optional homework each week that is tailored to each student. This helps to boost their grades by focusing on the areas where they need help the most. I understand that learning a language is not always interesting for some, so I aim to inspire students and spark their interest in learning French via friendly, engaging lessons and new ways of learning!
