About Elle
I am a 17 year old college student studying a music diploma and my passion to assist learning derives from the unfairness of students with such potential unable to access stable 1-1 support.
I studied at At Mary's Catholic High School; pushed to achieve my best, achieving mostly 7's, 8's, and 9's (old school B's, A's and A*'s).

I assisted in an English resit class at my college; most feedback consisting of phrases such as
-"I've never done so much work"
-"I'm starting to understand this better"
-"you really understand me"
-and even "omg can you be here every lesson".
They included me in 'teen banter', and I learned that talking to the student as an eccentric lively teen myself helps boost a friendship- like way of learning, helping to gain an "always can do" attitude.

Experiencing educational difficulty myself; I received criticism from staff and peers who couldn't understand my ADHD struggle to keep up with such high educational expectations.
However, one tutor in particular believed in me. She gave me 1-1 support in a way that sparked my intelligence, alongside medication and creative methods of learning. I hope to be a beacon of light to a student in my previous position :')

Lessons are casual, grounded and easygoing, driven with motivation and a creative spark to aid the student's subject learning on a student-viewpoint similar to theirs.
As a 17 year old college student myself, I will always 1-1 support the student the way I support myself and similar-aged, or younger, peers.
LESSONS WILL INCLUDE;
-reading
-writing
-online activities for revision
-co-organisation
-praise and encouragement
-gentle push to goals
-catering to individualism
-analysing literature from their school
PRIOR TO LESSONS;
students must inform me of their current topic of study.
They must bring at least one thing to work on with my assistance, and we will work from there upwards.
I WILL PROVIDE / CREATE;
-spreadsheets of their targets to monitor progress together
-online resources
-custom revision material (once topic is stated)
-a engaging attitude to learn in the student
-time for study-related discussion
-support for worries/stress
