I have been tutoring students for 5 years now and have 3 years' professional teaching mathematics to GCSE and A Level standard. I have a PGCE in mathematics from UCL (Institute of Education) along with a first class degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Bristol.

I am aware of the many pitfalls and misconceptions that students have with this subject and have the pedagogic understanding to navigate them effectively. I allow students to feel comfortable with mistakes and encourage students to learn from them. I also understand that a student's relationship to Mathematics can be based on previous "failure"; my aim is to provide an environment in which students can safely explore without judgement.
