About Tom
Hello, I’m Tom, a 19-year-old GCSE Tutor based in the south of England with experience teaching Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I have three A-Levels in AQA Biology, AQA Chemistry and OCR Maths, as well as an EPQ. And am currently in a gap year with a confirmed place to study BA (Hons) International Horse Racing Business at Hartpury University in Gloucestershire, which I start this September! I have experience tutoring private clients, am patient and believe that a kind, thorough approach to learning is the key to success.

I know how overwhelming GCSEs can be, however, I also know how rewarding achieving your goals can be. A typical lesson will include: a short warm-up/review of any homework and setting the expectation for that lesson; an activity or two each complete with a thorough explanation of the topic and guided practice; finishing with a review of the lesson complete with next steps and a short homework if wanted. What sets me apart from other tutors is that I believe my guidance should not be bound by strict tutoring sessions. Therefore, I invite clients of mine to reach out if they are stuck with a particular question outside of a session where I am happy to offer a brief explanation and can always offer a more in-depth answer at the start of the next session.
