About Layla
I know what it's like to struggle in a certain subject. Growing up with a learning disability was hard as I always tried to do well but continually fell short. I persisted, trusted my tutors and learned study skills on my own that propelled me to become an A average student. I am a patient and knowledgeable tutor who is passionate about teaching all ages and helping you succeed. I have also worked in the business, fitness and wellness industries as well as being a University student so I have a broad range of skills to offer students like you!

- I know what teachers are looking for as I am in school to become a teacher and I am a teacher understudy at an elementary school. Additionally, I am studying teaching methodology and approaches to learning in educational studies at a University level to help you learn in a way that suits your learning style.
- I can help K-12 with reading, writing, studying skills and literacy.
- I am a certified fitness and yoga instructor and I took Anatomy at a University level. I am very proficient in these topics especially Kinesiology, Human Biology and Anatomy for those who are taking these subjects in older elementary grades or high-school.
- I grew up with a learning disability so I understand what it's like to struggle with reading, dense subjects and literacy. I learned studying and writing skills in high-school and University on my own that I will share with you. These skills allowed me to become a now A average student and earn multiple awards in Highschool.
- I am a forever student, I leverage my researching skills to gain an in depth understanding of the specific topics the student needs help with. I may also leverage the Ontario curriculum resources I have exclusive access to through my educational studies program.
