About Xanthe

Hello, my name is Xanthe and although I am originally from the south of England, I have spent nearly the last 6 years living in Catalunya in Spain. I have close to 10 years of teaching experience, including nearly 6 years of teaching high-level English. Having lived abroad for many years, I understand very well the difficulties of learning and perfecting a new language. My goal is to help you feel more confident with your conversational skills, reading and writing and to make you feel more motivated to continue learning. I love meeting new people and helping others come to love English as much as I do, so please get in touch to book your free trial lesson!

About the lesson

My goal as a teacher is to build up my students' confidence and motivate them to continue improving. I firmly believe that learning should be fun and interesting. Therefore I adapt my lessons to the interests of each individual student to maximise their enjoyment of the class. I have nearly 6 years of experience in teaching English as a foreign language to teenagers and adults, focusing on perfecting conversational skills and improving grammar usage. Specifically, for the last 5 years, I have specialised in helping many students study for and pass the Cambridge FCE and CAE exams. However I also offer conversational English classes and after-school tutoring for younger students for help with their grammar and homework. Lessons with me are usually an hour long, but you can also have a 30-minute lesson if you prefer. I can't wait to help you on your English journey and I hope to hear from you soon! :)

Xanthe was my English teacher for three years, although it felt way much shorter as it was really fun having her as my teacher. She is outstanding at not only her knowledge of English, but also in adapting her teaching methods to make sure everyone understands perfectly by focusing on each student and how do they learn better.
I would reccomend Xanthe as your tutor if you want someone who is very passionate and dedicated not only in teaching, but also in making sure you understand everything.
