About Hernesha

Hello! I'm a dedicated tutor with over 3 years of experience teaching English and Math to children aged 3 to Year 6. I’m currently pursuing my Degree in Psychology, which gives me valuable insight into how children learn and develop at different stages. I’ve also completed my SPM with excellent results and have a strong foundation in both subjects. What sets me apart is my child-centered approach. I adapt every lesson to suit your child’s learning style, personality, and pace. Many of my students are active, energetic, or struggle with traditional learning methods and that’s where I come in! About the lesson

I believe learning should be fun, engaging, and tailored to each child’s needs. My approach is hands-on and interactive, especially for young learners who struggle to sit still or focus. I use games, role play (like menus and shopping), creative visuals, phonics songs, movement-based learning, and storytelling to build core English and Math skills in a playful yet effective way. Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, but I adapt the pace and structure depending on the child’s attention span and learning style. For younger kids (3–5 years), I may break the session into shorter activity blocks to keep them motivated. I have 3+ years of experience tutoring children aged 3 to Year 6, and I’m currently pursuing a degree in Psychology, which helps me understand how children learn best based on their development and personality. I’ve completed my SPM with strong results, and I continuously update my teaching methods with new child-centered strategies.
