About Alba

I learned English the same way I teach Spanish today: through real-life situations, courage, music, and total immersion. I graduated early from high school, and before starting college I had an unexpected experience that changed my life. One day at a restaurant, a woman needed water and no one helped her, so I simply stood up, went behind the bar, and brought it to her. That small act opened a door. A moment later, the manager approached and offered me a job as a waitress. I understood everything he said—thanks to years of listening to English music like Guns N’ Roses, Aerosmith, Metallica, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana—but I didn’t speak the language yet. I wanted to say no. I felt scared. My uncle looked at me and said something that marked my life: “You already understand. In a few days you will start speaking. Don’t be afraid of mistakes. If they laugh, laugh with them—and next time do it better.” So I accepted the job. On my first day, I was terrified. At my first table I couldn’t say a word. I just opened my big eyes and froze. I ran to the bathroom, grabbed a napkin, and wrote a small script with the help of another waitress: “Excuse me, yesterday I was at a concert and I woke up without a voice. That’s why I’m not talking much. But I’m ready to take your order.” From that point forward, I learned the way humans learn best—by living the language, by listening, by trying, by laughing, and by practicing every single day. I discovered powerful techniques that helped me speak fluently, and now I use those same techniques to teach my students. Today, I teach with the same energy, courage, and creativity that helped me become bilingual. My classes combine immersion, music, real-life conversation, vocabulary games, role-playing, shadowing, and confidence-building strategies. I’m not just teaching Spanish—I’m sharing the methods that changed my life, so my students can experience real progress, real confidence, and real communication.

I don’t teach Spanish through memorization—I teach it through experience. I use powerful, proven techniques such as: Full Spanish immersion (no English allowed after Day 1) Shadowing technique to improve accent and fluency Scene-acting and role-play to practice real conversations Gamified learning (points, challenges, group competitions) Chunk learning (ready-to-use phrases, not isolated words) Dynamic drills with music, videos, songs, tongue twisters, and short films Creative writing using vocabulary to build short stories and paragraphs Speaking under light pressure to build confidence and speed My classes are fun, active, and designed to keep the student thinking in Spanish, not translating.
