About Marisa
I am a Spanish teacher. I came to England twenty-four years ago. I have been teaching children and adults since I started working. I have tutored students for the last five years preparing them for GCSEs and A Levels or teaching them Spanish from scratch. I am very passionate and I love teaching Spanish in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.

For my lessons, I like to follow different books depending on the level of the student. I prefer to let the students do all the reading so they practically lead the class. While they are reading the lessons, they are practising the speaking and become more confident. We go through the grammar together while they are reading the lesson and they put the grammar into practice doing the exercises verbally, translating the texts into English to work on comprehension. If there are any doubts we get over them to leave them as clear as possible and if there are any mistakes in pronunciation, we repeat the words a few times, taking turns until they pronounce the words correctly. At the end of the class, I send my students a few exercises to practise mainly verbs, conjunctions or any area that needs a bit of practice.
