About Laura

Hello! I’m Laura, a fully qualified primary teacher (QTS) with 11 years of experience teaching children from Year 1 to Year 6, (with the majority being in Year 6). I am passionate about helping children build confidence, develop strong foundations and achieve their full potential.

I have a proven track record of success, with my classes achieving over 90% SATs pass rates in state school settings. My teaching is positive, engaging and tailored to each child, drawing on the latest research-backed strategies from the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF).

I offer 1:1 online lessons or small groups of up to 4 children, and I am committed to creating a safe, supportive and motivating learning environment. I am DBS checked and a designated safeguarding lead (DSL), ensuring the highest standards of safety and care.

Whether your child needs extra support, wants to consolidate learning, or is aiming to excel, I provide structured, fun and effective lessons that produce real results.

About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring

I am a qualified and experienced primary teacher (QTS) with 11 years’ experience teaching children from Year 1 to Year 6, the majority in Year 6. I offer 1:1 online lessons or small group sessions (maximum 3–4 pupils of similar age), each lasting one hour.

My lessons are positive, confidence-building and tailored to each child’s needs. I draw on current, evidence-based research from the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) to support learning and progress. I focus on the full primary curriculum, ensuring students develop strong foundations in reading, writing, maths and wider curriculum subjects.

I have a proven track record of success, with my classes achieving over 90% SATs pass rates in state school settings with class sizes of 30. Lessons are interactive, engaging and designed to make learning enjoyable while achieving measurable progress.
