About Dean
I am a lecturer specialising in Ecology, Wildlife Management and Conservation, Wildlife Rehabilitation, and other related subjects. Outside of teaching, I enjoy an active lifestyle, including running, hiking, kayaking, snorkelling, and fishing, and I have participated in a wide range of sports.

My lessons are interactive, hands-on, and designed to inspire curiosity and critical thinking in learners of any level. Teaching methods include engaging presentations, creative poster design, fieldwork, quizzes, games, discussions, and practical activities. Students will explore ecology from basic principles to advanced concepts. Also, students will be taught other subjects such as global conservation issues, wildlife management practices, principles of evolution and genetics, and designing a suitable animal enclosure. Scientific literacy is a core focus, with learners developing skills in reading, writing, and presenting scientific information. Creativity is encouraged through the production of informative posters, scientific papers, and professional-style presentations, helping students build real-world skills alongside subject knowledge.
