About Katie

Hi! My name's Katie. I am an animal, nature and book lover living in London. My favourite colour is grey, and I have a little cat called Dolly. I love camping with my friends and visiting new places.

I've taught lots of students in the last few years, and I love helping someone understand something they've struggled with for a while.

My teaching style is calm, and there's no such thing as a stupid question in our sessions.

About the lesson

I teach with a research-based approach, expectations are clear in my classes and I approach all students as individuals with a kind and nurturing approach. I work closely with parents and students to ensure we make progress towards their goals.
Lessons are typically 1 hour, which can be increased for GCSE and A Level students. I have experience of numerous exam boards in English literature, English language and Media studies. I can also support with reading, literacy and general writing skills.
I am a fully qualified (and currently practising as a) teacher of English in a secondary school with a PGCE from Exeter University.
