About Pax

Hi, my name is Pax. I’m a bilingual Grade 11 student who enjoys learning and helping others. I’ve always liked working with children and supporting them as they grow more confident in school.

I already have experience as a private tutor, helping elementary students with Math, French, and English. I enjoy explaining things in a clear and simple way, and I like seeing students understand something they found difficult before. This is what motivated me to start tutoring.

I’m patient, reliable, and easy to talk to, and I try to make learning less stressful and more enjoyable. I also encourage critical thinking and problem-solving by helping students explain their answers and think through questions.

I also have experience working with children as a camp counselor, which helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to different learning styles. I’m comfortable working with younger students and creating a positive and respectful learning environment.

My goal is to help students improve their skills, build confidence, and feel proud of their progress.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is patient, clear, and adapted to each student’s learning style.

A typical lesson starts with helping the student complete homework, school assignments, or school projects. I review concepts step by step and explain them in simple words to help students understand what they are learning. For French and English, lessons focus on reading, writing, grammar, and comprehension. I also guide students to think through problems and explain their answers to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Lessons are given in the language requested by the student, either English or French.

Each lesson is personalized based on the student’s needs. I provide additional exercises beyond schoolwork to help students practice, improve their skills, and build confidence. I encourage questions and keep a supportive and positive learning environment.

My lessons are for elementary students who need help with homework, school projects, or strengthening their skills in Math, French, or English.

Details

My base rate is set to keep tutoring affordable for families. Lessons at my place or online are priced lower since they do not require travel. Lessons at the student’s home or a library are offered at a higher rate to cover travel time. Practice materials and extra exercises are included in the lesson.
