About Jasvey
For me, teaching guitar is about guiding students to tell their stories through music. With Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music, I bring a combination of formal training, performance experience, and teaching expertise to every lesson. I focus on building strong foundations—posture, finger placement, chord transitions, strumming, rhythm, and tone—before exploring improvisation, phrasing, and composition. Music theory is introduced in an approachable and practical manner, linked to songs and exercises that students enjoy. Each lesson is personalized to the student's pace, style, and goals, creating a motivating, supportive environment. I emphasize creativity, self-expression, and confidence alongside technical skill. Ear training, sight-reading, and performance coaching are integral parts of my curriculum. I introduce students to various genres, including classical, jazz, rock, blues, and pop, expanding their musical knowledge and versatility. I provide structured practice routines, guidance, and constructive feedback to ensure steady improvement. Lessons balance discipline with artistic freedom, encouraging exploration and growth. Milestones are celebrated, fostering motivation and perseverance. Over time, students develop not only technical skill but also musical maturity, confidence, and a personal style. My teaching combines mentorship, instruction, and inspiration to nurture each student's potential.
