About Asher
I’m Asher, a qualified medical doctor from New Zealand now living in the UK and I really love human biology, anatomy, and physiology. I have previously tutored university students and in High School gained the top academic award in biology. My academic and clinical experience means I can explain biological concepts clearly, accurately, and in context — connecting textbook theory to how living systems actually function in real life. I aim to display my calm, friendly teaching style and to make even the trickiest topics feel approachable. I focus on building understanding and confidence rather than rote memorisation, so you can how things work and why. Whether you’re preparing for high school exams or tackling your first year of university study, I’ll support you with structure, patience, and clear explanations tailored to your goals and learning pace.

Hi, I’m Asher, a friendly and patient biology tutor passionate about helping students truly understand the living world rather than just memorising facts. My lessons focus on simplifying complex ideas about the living world — especially in cellular biology, anatomy, and physiology — through clear explanations, real-world examples, and active discussion. I adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s learning pace and strengths, using diagrams, questioning, and visual aids to make key processes click. A typical session runs for 50 minutes, with time to review key concepts, work through tricky areas, and practise applying knowledge to real exam-style questions. I have a medical background, have helped high school students and tutored first-year university students previously. My lessons are ideal for: High school students wanting to strengthen understanding or prepare for exams First-year university students needing extra support with human biology or health science foundations Anyone curious about how the human body works and wants a clearer, confidence-building approach My goal is to help students feel capable, interested, and proud of their progress — and to make biology an enjoyable subject again.
