About Clare
I am a third year student pursuing a double major degree in French and English literature but I have been a French native speaker since birth. Professionally, I have been tutoring French to students, beginner level and to fluency, for 6 years. I am familiar with the French proficiency exam to teach in French and the French education system.

My classes are based in adaptability. For older students, I typically begin lessons with an assessment of skills and a learning style quiz. It is very important for me to know the best way you learn. For younger students, I like to use game-based learning and to use my tutoring as an additive to what is taught in class. If you are the parent of a student needing tutoring, I like to know any gaps in knowledge first and foremost. My goal for all my students is to give them the skills to be able to study independently once their tutoring with me is complete.

I do have a cancellation fee for students I travel to if the student does not provide me notice 24hrs beforehand, which is 40% of the class fee.
