About Keito
Hi there! My name is Keito, who is a native Japanese born and raised in Tokyo! Currently living in Malta, I am incredibly excited to share my native language and culture with you. Before moving here, I graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Interactive Media Design in Canada and spent several years working in hospitality and tour coordination across Canada, New Zealand, and Japan.
Because I have lived and studied in multiple countries, I know exactly what it feels like to learn a new language, feel nervous about speaking, and navigate a new culture. That is why I became a tutor—to be the encouraging, patient, and friendly guide that I wish I had when I was learning English!
Outside of teaching, I love art and crafts, exploring new cities, and meeting people from diverse backgrounds. I am a very open, warm, and helpful person, and I cannot wait to support you on your journey to becoming a confident Japanese speaker. Let's make learning Japanese the best part of your week!

My lessons are fully customized, highly interactive, and designed to get you speaking real, natural Japanese from day one! I focus on practical everyday communication, casual phrases, and natural pronunciation that you won't find in standard textbooks.
Whether you want to learn through casual chatting about your favorite topics (like anime, travel, or food), practice situational role-play (ordering at a restaurant, shopping in Tokyo), or need help preparing for a trip, I tailor the pace completely to your needs.
As a highly supportive and patient tutor, I promise a relaxed, zero-pressure environment where mistakes are celebrated as part of learning. You will always have a friendly native speaker by your side to help you gain true conversational confidence!
