About David
I found school really, really hard as a student. Despite this, I eventually passed & did 3 degrees at Uni.
Because of my neurodiversity and unique learning style, my teachers would often get quite grumpy with me which often made me feel pretty bad about school and I when I felt confused about what we were learning I was reluctant to ask for help.
I never want my students to feel like that, so I bring a lot of empathy, patience & encouragement to tutoring. I also work hard to make lessons super clear by using visual diagrams, telling stories or giving lots of examples until you "click" and get your"ah ha" moment.
I'm happy to repeat myself many times if you need, or to find different ways to explain the material until you feel really confident that you understand it.
I'm also very skilled in the areas of English that I specialize in eg creative writing, and public speaking, so I have techniques to share and can give specific feedback that you won't always get from someone who is more of a generalist.
I look forward to working with you and helping you succeed despite any obstacles you might be facing :-)

Once we identify those obstacles, we can build bridges between what you know now and what you want or need to know to pass your assessments, but more important, to enjoy the learning process.
