About Patrick
I’m a graduate in Sound Engineering and Music Production with a wide background as both a performer and teacher. I’ve played in bands, helped record and produce music with a range of artists, and taught music at several secondary schools as well as with Rocksteady Music School, where I worked with young people to build their confidence through performance and creativity. These experiences mean I understand how to make music lessons both educational and fun, whether you’re a child just starting out or an adult beginner. My approach is flexible: some students love exploring music theory, while others prefer diving straight into learning the songs they enjoy – I support both paths.

I believe learning the piano should be enjoyable and tailored to each student. Everyone learns differently, so I adapt my teaching to suit your goals and interests. If you’d like to dive into music theory, I’ll guide you step by step, helping you understand rhythm, notation, and harmony so you can build a strong foundation. If theory isn’t your focus, that’s fine too! Many of my students prefer to start by learning the songs they love, and I’m more than happy to teach you through the music that inspires you. Whether it’s a classical piece, a pop song, or something from film or TV, we can use it as a fun and practical way to improve your skills. My aim is to keep lessons relaxed, encouraging, and engaging. You’ll learn at your own pace, with plenty of support to build confidence along the way. Most importantly, I want you to leave every lesson feeling motivated and excited to play.
