About Mariam
I'm a friendly and patient tutor who understands that every student learns differently. Having studied Chemistry at A-Level, I understand the challenges students can face with difficult topics and exam questions, and I aim to make Chemistry feel much more manageable and less overwhelming.
I’m committed to creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes without feeling judged. I take the time to understand each student’s individual strengths and areas for improvement, then adapt my lessons to suit their needs.
Whether a student is aiming to improve their grades, prepare for GCSE exams, or simply become more confident in Chemistry, I will provide patient, supportive and structured guidance throughout their learning.

I believe GCSE Chemistry becomes much easier when you understand the topic rather than simply memorising information. I focus on breaking difficult concepts down into simple, manageable steps and explaining them in a clear and patient way.
My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs. We can go through topics they find difficult, practise exam-style questions together, and identify common mistakes so they become more confident when answering independently. I also encourage students to ask questions and explain their thinking, as this helps me see exactly where they need support.
Lessons are typically 1 hour long, although this can be adapted depending on the student’s needs. I am a recent A-Level Chemistry student and have experience studying Chemistry to A-Level standard, giving me a strong understanding of the GCSE foundations students need to succeed.
My lessons are designed for GCSE students of different abilities, whether they are struggling with a particular topic, preparing for exams, or simply looking to improve their confidence and grades.
