About Greg

I am very passionate about music and helping other people on their musical journey. Teaching music and seeing students making progress is very rewarding. Learning guitar isn't easy so I will be supporting you during the moments of your self doubt. Everyone has to start somewhere so it is important to keep going! If you are a working adult/parent I will help you to learn things that matter to your goals and what to prioritise in your practice time.
If you are a parent of a child be assured that I will do my very best to bring the best out of your child and give her/him a lot of encouragment. As a parent myself I understand how little confidence children have in themselves in trying new things. Your child will learn from me the importance of consistent practice and learning things correctly. We will be using the classical guitar method that include learning to read music. I recommend purchasing a half size or 3/4 size instrument for younger children.
If you are retired and wish to pick up a new hobby or perhaps improve your guitar playing please get in touch. Guitar is a great way of spending time and there are lots of memories to be made by playing music for and with other people!

About the lesson

I offer the guitar lessons to beginner and intermediate guitar players.
I offer everyone an opportunity to try the first lesson for free without the oligation to continue. Our first lesson will give you an idea of how I teach and how I will help you to reach your musical goals. It will give me a chance to get to know you better and find out what are your challenges.
I have been been self taught for the first 13 years of my life as a guitar player so I have learned the guitar the hard way and I can save you a lot of time and frustration by teaching you to play the right way so that you don't have to struggle. We will be looking at correct posture, understanding music and rhythm including very useful but sometimes overlooked music notation.
I enjoy teaching acoustic fingerstyle guitar, classical up to grade 5 and classic rock guitar (70's and 80's)
