About Mary
My name is Mary Anthony, and I am a graduate with a BSc in Economics and Development Studies. My passion for teaching comes from a personal place. Growing up, I watched one of my sisters struggle academically, which affected her confidence and made me realize how important the right support and encouragement can be for a student.
During my NYSC, I had the opportunity to teach, and that experience made me realize how much I genuinely enjoy working with students. I loved seeing them understand new concepts, improve academically and become more confident in themselves. It was incredibly rewarding to know that my support could make a positive difference.
As a tutor, I want to create a patient, friendly and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable learning, asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to help students improve their English, reading and spelling skills, but also to help them develop the confidence to believe in their own abilities.

I aim to make learning English enjoyable while helping students build their confidence in reading, spelling and writing. We will work at a comfortable pace, focusing on areas where the student needs extra support. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to improve and succeed.
