About Vikas
Hello! I am Vikas, an enthusiastic educator with a strong background in mathematics and logical problem-solving. My passion for chess runs deep because I believe chess truly opens young minds. Beyond the board, it helps children visualise different scenarios, think ahead, and learn to navigate life's everyday challenges in a fun, playful manner.
I teach because I love guiding young learners through this journey and in turn learn back from them. Seeing a child's face light up when they spot a clever strategy or overcome a challenge on the board is the most rewarding part of coaching. My goal is to build a supportive, encouraging space where beginners feel confident to think critically, ask questions, and grow at their own pace.

My chess lessons are specially designed for young kids (ages 7+) and beginners who want to learn chess in a fun, patient, and pressure-free environment.
Teaching Methodology & Approach
I use a hands-on, step-by-step teaching style tailored to young learners. Instead of memorising dense theory, students learn through guided play and interactive practice. We cover essential opening rules, basic tactics, king safety, and fundamental checkmates in a simple, digestible way.
