About Hailu
My name is Lucy. I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and a graduate of the University of Melbourne. I have an educational background from both China and Australia, which allows me to communicate comfortably in both Chinese and English and understand different learning styles.
I really enjoy spending time with children and beginners. I am friendly, patient and positive, and I always try to make my classes relaxed, encouraging and enjoyable. I believe students learn better when they feel comfortable and supported. I also like to adjust my lessons flexibly based on each child’s personality, level and learning goals, as well as parents’ expectations.
I have a long-term interest in Chinese language and writing, and writing in Chinese has always been my personal hobby. I hope to use my skills and passion to help students who want to learn Chinese build confidence and a strong foundation step by step.

I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and a graduate of the University of Melbourne. I have received long-term education in China and have been living in Australia for many years, so I understand both Chinese and Western learning styles.
I specialise in teaching children, teenagers and complete beginners, including both Chinese background students and non-Chinese speakers.
My lessons cover listening, speaking, reading, writing and pronunciation (Pinyin). I can adapt my teaching style for exam-oriented learning, daily conversation practice, or fun and interest-based learning.
I am friendly, patient and especially good at working with children. I always design personalised lessons based on each student’s level and learning goals.
Lessons are available online, in person, and home visit if needed.
