About Anna
Bonjour! :)
My name is Anna and I am a French student studying International Relations and Economics at UCL. I obtained my French scientific baccalaureate ( maths specialisation ) with High Honours in 2019. I’m a French tutor in London since 2017 (mainly to children and teenagers). Moreover, I have been teaching Geography in French for pupils preparing the French Baccalaureate.
I'm a friendly person and I love teaching for conveying my interest in the French language. I’m also a patient person who always adapt ways of teaching according to the needs/goals of the student. My top priority is to create a safe and friendly environment for the student in order to be able to progress.
French is not an easy language (especially for writing skills ) but I'm convinced that with good methods and time, you will progress very quickly!

Confidence ~ Patience ~ Regularity : my three key words!
I believe that the first thing to develop when people are learning a new language is their oral skills. Being able to communicate, to express an opinion, a feeling, ask a question etc etc is the top priority. Good pronunciation, basic sentences and vocabulary of the everyday life are the first things to get! Therefore, I like to practice oral skills with my students by choosing a subject for which they are interested in!
Writing, grammar and readings skills as well as learning new vocabulary is also essential. I like to teach my students these skills by doing exercices and using different methods for memorizing.
Finally, I like organizing my lessons by themes/ topics and to present at the beginning of the lesson the goals to reach by the end of the lesson. Of course I adapt my program according to each student !

Anna has been giving me French lessons during three months in 2021 for preparing the DELF exam. She is a smiley person who is regular and meticulous in her work.
