About Anthony
I am an undergraduate at Durham University studying Law, on target for first-class honours. I have one of the strongest academic records for my cohort, scoring within the top 3% for Employment Law; top 10% for Trusts and Equity; and top 16% for Family Law. I have acquired excellent qualifications in the study of humanities, notably A*s in History, Theology and English at A level along with a combined UMS of 94 in Government and Politics at AS level, after acquiring 8 A* and 3 As at GCSE.
More importantly I am very comfortable in tutoring such areas from KS3 to A2 level, adopting to the needs of each student whatever capability. I firmly believe any student can achieve the grade they desire by surrounding them with the right guidance, support and passion, however having progressed from an underachieving school to achieve the top grade bands consistently, I understand more than most what it takes to master the mark scheme and convert a student's potential into reward.
That being said, I warmly welcome students of any ability and goal, from improving basic writing skills to obtaining a firmer grasp of the subject content.
I am relatively new to the tutoring world however I am confident with my ability to help any student to realise their potential!

Whilst lesson structure would vary as per the specific needs and focus areas of the student, I believe in adopting a dynamic system of teaching founded on the core components of learning, interacting, and examination.
For example, where the first half of the lesson would be dedicated to acquiring a firm grasp on the content, following on from a 5 minute recap dedicated to contextual knowledge, significant importance will be placed on applying this knowledge within contemporary debate and, more importantly, the requirements of exam questions. This will require myself and the student to read around the topic to allow them to better understand the issues in question, helping students assert their responses through reasoned discourse in working through plans, partial responses and eventually, timed-work.
