I take a supportive and goal-oriented approach to my teaching. For every lesson, I set a goal with my students and set clear objectives that will help meet that goal by the end of the lesson. Typically, I try to gauge what my students already know and make connections from their prior knowledge to what they are learning. What sets me apart is that I know what it's like to not understand something and just hear it repeated with no clarification. If my students do not understand a concept or problem, I will always try to reword or make a comparison so my students master the concept and feel comfortable with it. My lessons are meant for middle through high school students at any level, but also willing to work with university underclassmen as well.
