About Romans

Hi! I’m a 19 year old friendly and enthusiastic maths tutor.

I really enjoy helping students understand maths in a way that feels simple and enjoyable. I know that sometimes maths can feel confusing or frustrating, so I always try to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

Being 19 myself means that I can easily relate to younger students and understand the way they communicate and learn. I believe this helps me build a good connection with my students and makes lessons feel less formal and more comfortable, while still keeping them focused and productive.

I’m responsible, organised and committed to helping every student make progress. I take the time to understand what each student finds difficult and adapt my lessons to suit their individual needs and learning style.

Whether you need help understanding a particular topic, want to improve your confidence or are preparing for your GCSE Maths exams, I’ll do my best to make sure you leave each lesson feeling more confident than when you started.

About the lesson

I’m a friendly, patient and approachable maths tutor who enjoys making maths easier and less stressful for students. I always try to explain things in a simple way and adapt my lessons to the student’s level and individual needs.

I like to break difficult topics down into smaller, easier steps and use practical examples wherever possible. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because I believe that’s an important part of learning.

Lessons are usually 60 minutes long, but I can be flexible depending on the student’s age, level and goals.

I work with children under 16 and can also help students prepare for their GCSE Maths exams. Whether a student needs extra support, wants to improve their grades or simply needs more practice, I will try to make the lessons enjoyable and useful.

I feel like I can easily connect with younger students and understand how they think and learn. I want to be not only someone who teaches maths, but also someone students feel comfortable with and can talk to. I believe that when you are comfortable with your tutor and enjoy the lessons, learning becomes much easier and more effective.

My main goal is to help students understand maths, become more confident and, most importantly, stop feeling that maths is something they can’t do.
