About Hamza

Hi, my name is Hamza! I am 22 years old. Having studied French from GCSE level, obtaining a degree in History and French from UCL, studying at the Sorbonne in Paris, to now working internationally as a French and English speaking delegate, France and its prestigious language has played a monumental role in my life. I have learnt everything there is to know in terms of mastering such a complex language, from its delicate grammatical rules to the unfamiliar accent. I hope to help you achieve your ambitions in learning French, whatever they may be. I was also once a student who did not get on with languages but had incredible teachers who managed to help me excel and I hope to pass their wisdom down to you!

About the lesson

Our time is tailored to what you would like to achieve.

If it is for GCSE level, we can ensure that you maximise your chance of getting an A*. The GCSE exam is extremely grammatically and practically based; the literature aspect is not covered yet. In light of this, my method of teaching is very structured in the sense that the order of teaching follows the syllabus (verbs, adjectives, tenses, etc.). I also teach in order to achieve the highest grade possible at GCSE, which requires close attention to the mark schemes and helping the student understand how to adhere to it. This is the most efficient way to develop your proficiency in French while also solidifying your examination skills to succeed.

At a higher level of education like A Levels or at University, we can be more flexible in thinking about the role of literature in examinations. However, everyone at a higher level tends to have different areas of weakness. We can focus on what you personally find to be the trickiest parts of the French language/literature.

If you would simply like to learn French, whether from scratch or with experience, we can tailor the sessions to learn in whichever way suits you best!
