About Harlan

I’m a French tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Education in French as a Second Language. I specialize in working with complete beginners and love helping students take their first steps with confidence. My teaching style is patient, lighthearted, and filled with humor to ease the pressure of language learning. I believe learning French should be fun and memorable, so I often use games, skits, flashcards, and storytelling to bring lessons to life. Grammar and vocabulary don’t have to be boring—they become exciting when connected to real-life situations and laughter. I encourage my students to speak from day one, no matter how small the sentence. Over the years, I’ve seen so many learners go from shy and unsure to speaking French with joy and ease. My lessons are interactive, encouraging, and tailored to your pace. I focus on everyday communication so you feel ready to use French in the real world. Whether you're learning for school, travel, or just for fun, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Let’s discover how playful and rewarding learning French can be!

About the lesson

I offer French lessons that are interactive, supportive, and designed to keep learners engaged and motivated. My teaching blends structure with spontaneity, so students build a strong foundation while staying curious and inspired. Whether you're learning for school, travel, or everyday conversation, I adapt each session to fit your specific goals and pace.

Lessons include spoken interaction, pronunciation practice, and real-life dialogue to boost your confidence in using French naturally. I also use audio exercises, flashcard games, and memory tricks to reinforce vocabulary and grammar in a fun way. Students who are preparing for exams benefit from targeted strategies, timed drills, and personalized feedback to improve accuracy and fluency.

I’m also great at helping learners who want to focus on fluid, natural conversation. We explore topics you care about, practice common phrases, and work through listening challenges together. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported and challenged in just the right way. French becomes not just a subject, but a skill you enjoy using. Let’s build your language skills and confidence, one interactive lesson at a time.
