About Tara

French native speaker, I hold a Masters degree in Translation Studies. I am a French tutor at Cardiff university and teach students from all ages and from various levels (A1 - B2).

Passionate about languages, I am available to help you improve your knowledge of our beautiful language that is French. From complete beginner to advanced speaker, we can work together to make sure we reach your goals.

I can help you practise your speaking, written, listening and reading skills.

About the lesson

I am a native French teacher. I have been teaching various levels of French in Cardiff university, from complete beginners (A1) to Advanced learners (B2).

Each student has different needs and goals, so all my lessons are tailored and flexible. I will adapt my class to you to make sure you are feeling comfortable and are moving at your own pace. There is no rush to learn a language, we can take the time you need, the most important is that you feel confident with each topic before we move forward.

I like playing games during my lessons as I think they are pedagogical and help learn whilst having fun. It also breaks the lesson up and makes it lighter and not just theory based. But it is important to learn the grammar, so depending on the objectives you have set for yourself, I will prepare grammar points and exercises. It is also very important to practise your speaking skills, this is why we will have a French conversation every time, which will allow us to recap what has been seen during the previous lesson and make sure everything is understood.

I can help you prepare for a written or an oral exam. We can also work on your listening and reading skills.

I am available for one-to-one and group lessons, and I teach online, so you can learn from the comfort of your own house.
