About Olivia

I completed a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies and later earned a Master of Arts in French Cultural Studies. During my 9 years of teaching, I have worked with students seeking both practical communication skills and deeper cultural understanding. My interest in French developed through language study, travel experiences, and cultural exploration. Teaching allows me to share these interests while helping learners achieve their own goals. Every student’s progress motivates me to continue growing as an educator.

My teaching philosophy emphasizes communication, confidence, and cultural awareness. I believe language learning should be interactive and meaningful. Lessons are designed to help students actively use French rather than simply memorize information. Through conversation, listening practice, and guided activities, learners build both competence and confidence. This balanced approach supports lasting language development.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy exploring French literature, international cinema, and cultural history. These interests help me bring authentic materials and interesting discussions into lessons. Watching students become more confident communicators is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. I strive to create an encouraging environment where learners feel supported throughout their journey. My goal is to help students connect with the French language in a meaningful and enjoyable way.
