About Jackie
My desire to teach French comes from a young age, as I have always had a passion for all things French!
From trips to Brittany in KS3, to the French exchange programme in KS4, I have immersed myself in the French language and culture ever since. It has simply been an integral part of my entire life.
I studied European Business and French at University and spent my third year at Lille University. Having gravitated towards business following graduation and then life taking over for 2 decades, I took the plunge and decided to have a complete career change in 2019 when I began teacher training in MFL.
It has quite simply been the best decision ever and children are the best people to work with! Plus, I get to share my passion with them every day, which I love.
I have very high standards and expectations in terms of attitude to learning and commitment to hard work, but I have an open and warm approach. I firmly believe that we learn more when we enjoy what we do, so my lessons so usually involve a fun element or a step away from the grammar to engage in cultural enlightenment.

Following 20 years working in industry, I qualified as a teacher 3 years ago, to pursue my passion for languages and desire to work with children.
I am currently employed as a French Teacher. My lessons are fun and engaging, combining my passion for different languages and cultures, with the highest standards and expectations for excellence in learning.
My lessons are one hour long and aimed at KS2, KS3 and KS4.
