About Vanina
Bonjour!
I am a qualified teacher of French and Spanish (UK trained). I teach all levels from primary through to secondary school and beyond, with a particular interest on focusing on exam work at GCSE and A level.
Although I took my PGCE in 2015, I have a combined experience of over 15 years teaching French; starting with my own children, as we are a bilingual family, then working with FLAM organisations (Français Langue Maternelle) in the Greater London area and Exeter, and later in secondary schools in Devon.
Additionally I also have a Diploma in translation (English to French) with the Chartered Institute of Linguists. I am an enthousiastic linguist, a bit of a grammar fan and I love languages in general and my mother tongue in particular. I am also a keen reader with an interest in current affairs, social science, history and art and craft.
I can support all aspects of your learning - speaking, reading, listening and writing - and match your objectives, areas of interests or hobbies.

Lessons last 1 hour.
To start with, I will identify your objectives and your areas of interests in order for you to get the best out of your subsequent lessons. In this way we will be able to develop and work on your speaking, listening and reading skills, strengthen practical vocabulary, typical and common expressions, grammar and also pronunciation. Lessons will be split between all 3 skills above to give a level of variety with some flexibility if you wish to focus on one skills more than the others. Writing skills is best kept as a homework, which is then discussed during the lesson. If you are a GCSE and A level students, we can use your written work produced in school and discuss how you can best improve it.
