I was a teaching assistant at Wellesley College, where I taught and supported around 30 students through lessons, office hours, and one-on-one guidance. I’m patient, friendly, and I always aim to create a positive, low-stress environment—because I truly believe we learn best when we’re having fun! Whether you’re just starting out or looking to deepen your skills, I’ll help you connect to the language in a way that feels personal and engaging. I’ve even taught my grandmother French since I was a little girl—she’s fluent now!

Hi! My name is Laura de Ladoucette. I grew up in France and lived there my whole life before moving to the US for college. I’ve always loved learning and teaching—I was a teaching assistant during undergrad, and helping others learn brings me so much joy. I love connecting with students, and I believe language learning is one of the best ways to do that. That’s why I learn 5 languages (French, English, Arabic, Mandarin, and Italian)- four of which I speak fluently. Teaching French helps me feel closer to home, and I’m passionate about sharing not just grammar and structure, but also the culture and nuances behind the language. I prioritize spoken French and use conversations around current events to make learning engaging and authentic. I can also teach math if you’re looking to combine subjects. Excited to learn with you!
