About Shamita

Hi! My name is Shamita, and I am an IB student currently completing Grade 11 and preparing to enter Grade 12. I graduated from French immersion as valedictorian, and I am passionate about helping students build confidence and succeed in French.

Having completed French immersion myself, I understand both the academic expectations and the challenges students can face while learning the language. My experience in the IB program has also strengthened my organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, allowing me to help students develop effective study habits alongside their French abilities.

I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My lessons are personalized based on each student’s goals, whether they need help with homework, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading comprehension, or preparing for quizzes and tests.

What sets me apart is my ability to connect with students in a relatable and patient way while still maintaining professionalism and strong academic standards. I use clear explanations, interactive activities, and conversation practice to make lessons engaging and easier to understand. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them feel more confident and comfortable using French in everyday situations.

Hi! My name is Shamita, and I offer personalized French tutoring for elementary and middle school students, as well as beginners looking to improve their confidence in speaking, reading, writing, and grammar. As a French immersion student, I understand the challenges students face when learning a new language, and I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and practicing their skills.

My teaching approach is patient, interactive, and adapted to each student’s learning style and goals. I break down grammar and vocabulary into simple explanations and use conversation practice, reading activities, writing exercises, and review games to make lessons engaging and effective. I also help students with homework, test preparation, pronunciation, and building stronger communication skills in French.

A typical lesson may include reviewing previous concepts, practicing speaking and pronunciation, learning new vocabulary or grammar rules, and completing interactive exercises to strengthen understanding. I believe students learn best when lessons are both structured and enjoyable.

What sets me apart is my ability to connect with students in a relatable and encouraging way. Since I am also a student, I understand how to explain concepts clearly and help make learning French less stressful and more approachable. My goal is to help every student feel more confident and motivated in their French abilities.
